Pancakes are great. So is chai spice. Here's them together.
Feel free to halve the spices in this recipe for a less intense flavour, or swap them out for any combination of ingredients as the base for this pancake recipe stands up pretty well with different flavourings!
CHAI PANCAKES
INGREDIENTS (BATTER)
2 cups of rolled oats
1 cup of almond milk
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 super ripe banana
2 teaspoons cinnamon powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon ginger powder
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg powder
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
1/8 teaspoon salt
METHOD
Run rolled oats through your food processor to make into flour.
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl, and ladle out the resulting batter into a hot frypan to make pancakes (flipping when you see bubbles start to appear in the batter).
Serve with rice malt syrup and more chai spice mix on top.
